This site is run by Rannie Turingan, a photographer based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I’m currently in my early thirties, but have been interested in photography since Grade School. In highschool I took pictures for the yearbook and despite initial talent, I never bothered to persue photography in post-secondary education. In my early to mid 20’s, I started to take photography seriously again and have pretty much self taught myself all that I know. Now it’s a huge part of who I am.

Hi. My name is Melinda, I edit a college paper in Edmonton, and I’m hoping you will give me permission to quote your conversation with Adam about Facebook and Canada? It’s just a 12-page small school publication. What do you think?

Great stuff, Rannie! I’m also in Toronto, and THINK I have an “eye”, but sadly, I spend little time taking pictures. I have a fabulous Nikon SLR, non-digital, which I bought in the early 90’s, and have used very little since. If you know anyone who’s buying, I’d be interested. Anyway, VERY nice stuff you do, so keep it up.
