Lock Bicycle to Post
Taken this past spring, just off King Street East. It was the weekend, and these racks are just outside some office space. Needless to say, there wasn’t any riders today.

Photojunkie goes to a One Post Format
So, I’m gonna do a little experiment this week to try something different on the site. The photo above and the text below are all included in one daily post instead of a photo post and text posts. I’d be interested in your feedback regarding this issue. Do you like it or do you prefer each segment to have their own post? It will be one of those things, where it will work and the site will continue forward like this, or we switch back to the previous format.
Let the Shopping Begin
Best Buy Canada opened two new stores this past weekend, one in Scarborough near my sister’s place and one in Richmond Hill near my folks place. As a part of the grand opening weekend, they had ipods on sale for $50 off. So I ended up grabbing a 30 gig ipod. Now, I’m never allowed to complain that my 1 gig nano is not big enough. On another shopping note, I got a winter jacket this weekend and I officially started my Christmas shopping (with all that holiday music piping through store PAs it’s hard to ignore it). You know it’s kind of weird holding on to a present for a month and a half before giving it away. Especially when I want to see their reaction now.
Win a Spaceheater for the Holidays.
Now playing on the iPod is the newish album from the San Francisco based band Spaceheater. They contacted me earlier this year to get permission to use one of my photos as their album cover. Check out their myspace account to get a sampling of their music. I also have one of their CDs to give away. Anyone who comments on the blog this week will be eligible. Simple enough eh.
Gears of War Preview
There is a Gears of War launch that we will be checking out today. The game itself will be in stores tomorrow. We’ll add some content here once we see the game in action.
Join the Political Party tonight!
Tonight, Spacing and Eye magazine are presenting The Political Party, a mayoral debate between David Miller and Jane Pitfield at Revival [783 College Street]. It should be quite the event and will be followed a musical performance by our good friends Hot One. Doors are at 7pm and best of all the event is free.
Canon Canada Opens in Quebec
Tomorrow, The new Canon Canada offices will be opening in the Montreal’s borough of St Laurent. I’m not sure what this means for the nearby offices in Mississuaga, but I know it was convinent to have when my 10D broke down earlier this year. From my understanding, it will be the new centre for its business to business administrative operations.
Queer in your Ear
This coming Friday, November 10th, my sister’s band Violet Static will be playing at Sneaky Dee’s [431 College St] as a part of Queer In Your Ear. They will be sharing the stage with Tres and Random Order. Doors are at 9pm. Cover: $7 in advance, $10 at the door.
Do you ever feel like you are forgetting something? That’s how my whole life has been this year. Like I’m leaving the house and forgetting the most important things at home. Today it was my camera.
The Esplanade
The bare trees would almost suggest that these were shot recently, but in fact it was shot in the spring. I pretty much went the whole summer without shooting any 120 film.

Black Eyed Susans
This was shot at Edwards Garden with my Yashica Mat 124G. I cropped the image from square format to rectangular format.

Suburban
For Payam, who I met earlier tonight at the Flickr meetup. Inspiration can be found in the burbs, you just need to look at it with fresh eyes.
