Because it’s been awhile since I’ve played with the lensbaby, and because I was out with a group of Canon users who would appreciate trying it out for themselves.
Junction Lights
On Saturday, I was out shooting with some Canon Users from Torcamp. It’s been awhile since I’ve done any sort of photowalking. After doing so much of it a few years back, it kind of gets old. But it’s actually quite refreshing, when you have a new group of people to shoot with. It’s even cooler when you can swap and trade lens through out the afternoon.
We decided to hit The Junction, which is an interesting part of the west end of town. Lot of cool little shops, but also a lot of vacancy’s. Perhaps it’s the next neighbour to be in. Seeing all the empty store fronts was actually quite inspiring. So many possibilities.
Wiimote Covers
So my Wiimote covers arrived yesterday in four awesome colours and they are simply wonderful. Thanks to Nikki who picked them up for me in Florida (Still looking for Gift Ideas? Nikki sells handknit items). They are colourful and stylish and proved a comfortable grip to the remote.
This shot was taken, using a Lensbaby 3G along with the Lensbaby +4 Macro filter.

Lensbaby Danny
One of the great advantages of the Lensbaby 3G is the ability to free your fingers of focusing as you lock and shoot.
Took this shot of Danny Michel, last night at the Mod Club.

Spicy Blur
I took this shot at John’s Italian on Baldwin after speaking at the AGO. It’s this great italian eatry on a small street that has a little bit of everything. If you have never eaten on Baldwin before, I highly suggest checking it out. It’s a small pocket in the city which can easily be missed if you don’t know it’s there. The easiest way to get there is to walk two block north on either McCaul or Beverly coming from the AGO.
The shot was taken with the new Lensbaby 3G.

PS: I have started converting the old photo archives to be lightbox enabled. That means when you click on the 500 px version it will open up to the larger version. You will also notice that all “photos” post that reside on the same page are strung together in lightbox as well. I still need to convert June 2004 to April 2005. In due time. You will be pleased to know that all the features posts and my toronto includes posts have been upgraded too.
3G Bike
So the Lensbaby 3G showed up at work yesterday and I got a chance to do a couple of shots with it yesterday before heading over to the AGO.
My first impressions are good. It’s nice to be able to lock the lens into place instead of trying to hold the sweet spot while trying to click on the shutter. The fine tuning feature is also a great option, especially if you are shooting still life, however on the streets, it’s better to lock the lens down and fine tuning the focus by stepping back and forth.

Spinning Autumn
This will probably be the last of the autumn imagery for this year. I shot this shortly after getting the lensbaby 2.0 last year. It’s been on flickr, but strangely, never got posted here.

Autumn Maple
This post has changed three times. Then I finally settled on this seasonal shot which I took last year. It was shot using the lensbaby 2.0 and very little compression.
