Chanel Bear

Last week, I was walking along Bloor after that TIFF flick. I kept my eyes peels and noticed a lot of people with Film Fest badges, but didn’t find any celebrities ( Not that I was trying to seek them out). I did notice these large Chanel Bears in the Chanel storefront window. I found it interesting that a top designer like Chanel would use a large plastic icon to sell their product. My question is, can the people who collect these bears even afford to realistically buy anything from the store?

Hmm I wonder if they sell mini versions of the bear in the store for your keychain?

Busted

On Saturday, we headed out to check out the Downsview Park Merchants Market. The sky was overcast and all along Ranee, were walkers for the Weekend to End Breast Cancer. I immediately called Irina who was out on the walk, but found out she was not quite as far as we were.

Backed up in traffic I took this shot of a statue on someone’s lawn. It seemed quite fitting with all the women walking by. I’m pretty impressed with the zoom on this camera.

Heat and Air Tech

I know this shot is pedestrian but I wanted to try out the 12x zoom on the Powershot S3 IS. I was outside the Royal Ontario Museum last week prior to the TIFF showing of The Pervert’s Guide to Cinema when I took this shot up towards Bloor St.

One of my main beefs with the S3 IS is the poor LCD screen resolution. Often I will look at the shots I have taken, guessing whether they are in focus or not. The screen on the camera is not very big or very sharp, perhaps this is the trade off to having the swivel design.
