Barber Paper Mill from photojunkie on Vimeo.

I haven’t really done much Urban Exploration lately, mainly because I feel like it’s been over done. However, a couple of weekends ago I found myself at the Barber Paper Mill in Georgetown.

Magazines Canada held their Best On Page event at Maro in Liberty Village this past evening. The exhibited showcased international Magazine Creative work, which in general was print advertising. It was great to see a lot of great photography used in a lot of the ads, which for me was very inspirational. Overall, a great event with a lot of intriguing and original concepts.

Two New Piggies in Da House

There are two new girls in our household. Yet to be named, but I’m open to suggestions. One of my original thoughts was “Miss Piggy” but it doesn’t quite fit with either of the new piggies. The larger piggy on the right is Lilith whom we have had for a year now.

Second Guitar Purchased

Accompanied my sister downtown, because she was picking up a new keyboard at Steve’s Music, but quickly decided to check out the newly open EB Games on Queen Street West, just because. That’s where we found a”USED” Guitar Hero III controller for the Wii.

a) it cost us $30
b) when we opened it up at home, despite the banged up box, the guitar itself looked brand new.

I have to equate Guitar Hero for the Wii with relationships, you tend to find them, when you aren’t looking. That’s how I found my first one prior to Christmas.

I “Heart” my iPod Touch

So it’s been a just over a month now with the iPod Touch and I’m very happy with the purchase. After dragging it to SXSW and toting it to ICE08, I’ve found it very useful in a) connecting to services like Twitter b) checking and deleting email and c) showing off my photos. I even walk around the apartment with the Touch in hand at times, instead of hoping on the laptop or desktop.

With devices like this on the market, I truly see the future of the web being in mobility. It’s unfortunate that data rates in Canada still suck and that wifi isn’t readily free and available.

Geek Lunching at Olympos – Crow Bar Lunch

04.01.2008 Filed Under: Blog, Gallery, Moblog, Nokia N95, Photos1 Comment1

Geek Lunch happens every Monday at lunch time. This week it was held at Olympos – Crow Bar Lunch at Adelaide and Princess. A Geek Lunch Facebook group has been setup if you wanna be included in the fold. Next week’s lunch is scheduled for Zoulpy’s (King & Princess)

So basically, I set up this post to try out the new gallery feature on Wordpress 2.5. Still figuring things out, but basically it’s a pretty cool new feature. Ma.tt was telling me about it down at SXSW one night, so I’ve been pretty keen on trying out since then.
