CRUSH : Wei Quek

While I was in Calgary I had the opportunity to hang out with an old photographer friend of mine for a couple of hours, we walked about 17th Ave and also along 4th Street. Of course I made him pose for me. If you are ever looking for a photographer in Calgary, especially for weddings, I’d suggest calling him up. You can find him @weiquek or view his work at photobolic.com.

CRUSH : Marcus – Rafter Six Ranch

The thing about Alberta is that there are plenty of cowboys around especially in Calgary during Stampede. Meet Marcus from Rafter Six Ranch. Last Saturday, he was one of our horseback riding guides as well as our cowboy mentor during Cowboy College.

CRUSH : Michael Erickson

I first met Michael when he was campaigning in the municipal elections last year, he pinned his button on me while on the dance floor at Wrongbar for Big Primpin. Earlier this year, he campaigned for the NDP during the Federal election. When he isn’t being his political self or his fun dancing self, you can find him in the classroom teaching high school english, coaching hockey and fiddling behind a camera. Luckily I got him in front of my camera. You can follow Michael on twitter @erksn

CRUSH : Ted Ghanime

Good Monday Morning! I hope everyone has recovered from the Long weekend, from Canada Day, from Pride. It definitely was a busy one. I’ve decided to make Monday’s Crush, Teddy Ghanime from Biz Media. Yesterday, I spent part of my pride day in front of his camera, being filmed for a video. Of course I had to turn my camera on him as well, cause he is such an awesome guy, pretty darn cute too. You can follow Ted on twitter @tedinframe

CRUSH : David Pike

Even before I met him, I had heard his name in various circles and I’ve seen his face in different places. Meet David Pike. He is a fellow photographer who was also involved in the 10×10 project and probably one of the nicest people I’ve met lately. Well spoken and talented with his camera, you can see David’s work at his new website.

CRUSH : Rob Salerno

It would almost seem apparently, that a good chunk of my 10×10 subjects are also real time crushes, that’s not a coincidence. Meet Rob Salerno, Actor, Writer and pretty damn cute. Last week, he was Fucking Stephen Harper at the Ottawa Fringe Festival and this week I’m hanging him on a wall in Kensington Market. If you fancy him as well, you can always follow him on twitter @robsalerno.

CRUSH : Nick May

Everyone has a token actor friend, Nick is one of mine. which landed him as one of the 10 queers in my 10×10 series. It’s also landed him as my Crush to end of this week. You can follow him on twitter @nickwmay
