CONTACT: Films on Photography

One of the great things about CONTACT, is that you don’t even have to leave your home to enjoy it. TVO has partnered with CONTACT to present 6 new films about photography. Tomorrow night, They are showing Disfarmer: A Portrait of America and Thursday they are showing Karsh is History. The other four films in the series have already aired, but don’t fret, cause those fine folks at TVO have put them online for us to enjoy.

So if you haven’t seen them yet, invite some friends over, pop some popcorn and have a films on photography marathon.

Matt Alber – Monarch

Tweetgasm May 2011 Photography Slideshow

Last week, during Tweetgasm, I showed a crowd sourced slideshow of Toronto. The slideshow appeared on two beautiful 52′ LG flatscreen TVs and showed images from over 60 people. Thanks to everyone on twitter who submitted a photo or photography quote to me, without you, the slideshow couldn’t have looked so good. You guys are amazing.

There is also a second slideshow, spotlighting the work of our featured photographers from the night.

So turn on some music and enjoy the half hour of imagery.
