Microsoft Windows Vista and 2007 Microsoft Office are being released today worldwide. To celebrate, Microsoft Canada has set up an Ice House at Dundas Square in Toronto. Built with 270,000 lbs of ice, the house will be open to the public from January 30th to February 3rd (10 am to 7pm) and will demo the new operating system and office suite.

Here are some of the photos I took with the Canon SD 40, while waiting in line for the Wii. It was amusing to see that a lot of people had their Nintendo DS lites with them. One guy brought his iBook to watch movies. Personally, we wore heating pads to stay warm.
Admittedly, it wasn’t till around midnight on Sunday when I finally we to sleep. So basically I was up from Saturday morning around 11am until late Sunday, with a quick nap around 5 pm on Sunday afternoon.

20/20 vision opened up on Saturday night at M-One-11 on Queen Street. The show features images from 20 different artists, taken in a 20 hour span. Mixed on 5 different panels throughout the store, you can come in and purchase a print of any images. Proceeds of all sales are going to benefit the CNIB. So if you are in the area in the next couple of weeks, drop in and place an order.

Emm Gryner had an amazing headlining show at the Mod Club playing a wonderful mix of song from her new album, Summer of High Hopes, as well as some classic Emm tracks like Stereochrome (a personal fave) and Summerlong. Recently signed to Dead Daisy Records, Royal Wood opened up the show at the Mod Club. You can check out some of his tracks on myspace. He’ll also be playing at the Cameron House on the 20th and 27th of November.

These were shot prior to the election at the Political Party at Revival. Emm Gryner is doing double duty this week, playing her own stuff tonight at the Mod Club and playing with her band HOT ONE on Friday night at the El Mocambo.
