Over the weekend, I took part in Toronto’s first Tweed Ride. The bike ride which was fashioned after the London Tweed Run brought out over 250 tweed clad bike riders on Saturday, raising over $10,000 for the charity Bikes without Borders.
Of course, I was all over this ride, cause I’ll use any excuse to wear a bow tie out in public so I signed up for the ride a set a $1000 fundriasing goal for myself. At the end of the day, I raised $1350 and rode with a team of 9 fellow tweeters under the banner Tweed Tweeters. Though we started off a little moist, we all had an awesome time and I’m seriously looking forward to the next Tweed Ride next year.
