  1. Thanks for the pictures.

I wish I had a camera when I saw the huge blast from my house.

Dude, the pics are awesome, but I hope you GTFO.

  3. Orygundukfan says:

The explosion was from a propane storage plant just west of the Downsview airport.

  4. Pretty amazing pics man. Good job. Glad you are alright and hope not too many people are hurt

  5. Thought of you right away when I heard about this, Rannie. Glad you’re ok…..great shots.

  6. Thanks for posting these – great shots! I live in the Eglinton and Caledonia area and was awoken by the huge explosions – shook our houses even this far away. I could see, along with all my neighbours who were standing out on the street, the lights and hear the explosions but we didn’t have a clear picture of what was really happening.

  7. Excellent coverage. I hope you’ve submitted these to CP24, your vantage point + fine photography would probably be used on air.

  8. John Piercy says:

incredible images and video .. hope no one else is hurt as a result of this ….

  9. Keep your head down

  10. The blinds on my window blew out and then were sucked back in like a backdraft with the sound of an explosion at the same time.

Went outside and saw the explosion in the sky and it was the most spectacular and scary thing i’ve ever seen in my life!

Thought it was a plane at Dehavilland.

Hope no one is a fatality.

  11. I am just waking up to this news now – CRAZY, man! I hope everyone is OK…

  12. I was up at 3:45am-ish posting pics and I felt and heard this loud boom. I thought a truck or car had slammed into the house next door. Then the bangs just kept coming. It sounded like bombs were being dropped somewhere or a giant robot was crashing through the neighborhood. Scary stuff.

  13. Your shots are great. CBC is requesting photos and videos from anyone who has them.

When I looked outside and saw the sky light up, we all heading to the basement… 680 news was getting some calls in, but your reports here were key for us understanding wtf was going on and where it was coming from… found you through Twitter just before you uploaded the first batch of photos.

  23. Hey are we able to get to the yorkdale mall?
please email me the answer at caleigho_44@hotmail.com

  24. Yes, I live very close to where it happened. The explosions woke us up, but we didn’t know what the noise was. My honey thought there was a burglar in the house and he’d knocked over something so he went out to investigate.

It wasn’t til morning that we heard and realized what woke us. Those are really great pictures though. I may take you up on adding one to one of my sites (with credit of course).
