This was me, yesterday.
This is what happens when you remove Garfield from his own strip.
It’s Garfield minus Garfield.

For Christmas 2006, Jay got me a cage and all I needed so I could have my first pet, a guinea pig. We picked out Angelica the next day and added her to our little family. There had always been an underlying talk about some day getting a dog, but Jay figured a guinea pig would be a good starter pet. Relatively easy to care for, inexpensive yet still cuddly and cute.
She will be missed in the house, with her squeals of joy and her cute little snoring, when I’m up late at night.
Other photos of Angelica can be seen here on Flickr. May she rest in peace, running free in greener pastures.

I won a Nokia N95 during ICE08 this past week. With a 5 MP camera built in, how could I not play around with the Photo and Video capabilities.
I don’t know where the month of March went, but it’s ending with a bang at ICE08 at The Carlu. This week’s portrait is of Michele Perras who is one of the Producers at Interactive Ontario who helped program the conference which is running from March 26th to 28th, 2008.

Last Week, the Toronto Free Gallery had an opening party for their latest show, Creative Activism at their new location 1277 Bloor Street West (East of Lansdowne). I stopped in and tracked down Heather Haynes, for this shot. Heather is the Executive Director of the gallery which is now in it’s 4th year.

While in Austin, Texas for SXSW Interactive, I shot this portrait of Hugh Forrest for my weekly pic. Hugh is the Interactive Director and is the main guy behind this amazing conference.

Photo from the Cathedral of Junk taken during the International Flickr Meetup in Austin.
So it’s been about a week since I’ve posted. The tail end of SXSWi left little time or energy for me to post and basically, since I’ve been back, I’ve been busy or sick, battling this post SXSW superbug which seems to have hit a lot of conference goers.
Hopefully posting will resume again in a few days. Feel free to watch my twitter stream, those are quick and simple enough for me to stay on top of.
