Museum Station: A Work in Progress

Museum Station from photojunkie on Vimeo.

For the past couple of weeks, I’ve passed through Museum Station and noticed that they are nearing completion of the station platform renovations.

I’ve been meaning to take pictures of the reno thus far, but I decided that rush hour (when I shot this video) wasn’t the best time to be hopping off to take pictures, especially when I already scored myself a seat.

    According to their bylaws [16. b) ]

No person shall operate for commercial purposes any camera, video recording device, movie camera, or any similar device upon any vehicle or premises of the Commission without authorization.

Holy crap! I had no idea they’d even started on this project… much less almost finished it! Goes to show how often I’m riding through Museum!

There is still a lot of work to be done. There is that whole section of wall on the south end of the platform that hasn’t been touched. And it looks like they still need to work on the stairs/escalator area at the north end. I have no clue if they are doing anything on the fare collector level.

What I’m really anticipating is the unvieling of the columns.
