A Look at Mesh

IMG_4145

I thought it was important that I got pictures from the first day at Mesh, so I stayed up a bit late to get them online. You can see them over here at flickr.

You’ll have to forgive me if I’m a bit tired again today. If you are at the conference, make sure you say hi to me at some point and I’ll snap you up as well.

I’ll be heading back down shortly, I’m running a bit late again this morning.

Off to Mesh

After the longest week and a half of my life. I’m finally off for a couple of days from work to go to Mesh. We are all leaves from the same bush.

It was over a year ago since I went to San Diego and Mexico with Maria, for her sister’s wedding. Time flies, I’m due for a real vacation.

So, yesterday I watch some Idol, and we started watching the series Heroes. Watching the Idols finale now. Blake Lewis is nice to look at, but I think Jordin will win.

Hurry up and announce the winner already. I wanna get back to my Heroes.

Proceed with Caution

Wise words from the door of a fast food restaurant. Precautions aside, sometimes you just have to take a leap of faith.

I once had a dream many years ago, probably about 10 years ago now. I jumped out of a third floor window of my old highschool. Out of the visual arts classroom, down to the concrete driveway below. Some how, some way I landed on my feet.

That dream has stayed with me all these years, it’s one that I don’t easily forget.

A Long Weekend

Sometimes there are not enough days in a weekend, even with the longest of weekends. This shot was taken just before the start of the fireworks at Ontario Place on Sunday evening. Happy Birthday Queen Victoria.

Talayeh

Sam and Talayeh invited me and a few other friends over for dinner on Thursday evening. It was wonderful to just hang out and be intellectually stimulated. So much so, that although we did break out the Wii, most of the evening was spent conversing. It was a much needed change.

Queer Radio in Toronto

IMG_8216

Just found out from my friend Eli that there’s a new radio station in town. The Pride of Toronto 103.9 Proud-FM. It’s the world’s first and only radio station that caters to the LGBT community. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t listen to it as well. I listened to it on the drive home this evening and it was very upbeat and fun, with a great mix of new and old classics. Definitely worth checking out if you need that pick me up. It made me feel like I was 23 all over again. Now if only I could look 23 again. Consider the station programmed into my stereo.

In related news, I heard on the radio that MSN is offering an exclusive Madonna download for free over the next week. The track, “Hey You” was written and recorded especially to promote Live Earth and will performed in concert on July 7th, 2007. The event will feature 150 artists with 24-hours of music from 9 concerts across all 7 continents.
