So last night, I discovered that Shoppers Drug Mart indeed carried some Canon products. A very limited selection. This morning I ended up picking the Canon Powershot SD600, saving myself $200 because of this weekend Optimum Points promotion. It sure is sweet to have a compact point and shoot again to carry around when I don’t wanna drag the SLR out.
Expect to see many many many pictures here from this camera.
If you are curious, it’s 6.0 Megapixels, 3x Optical Zoom, 2.5″LCD etc etc. And I don’t need to buy any new memory cards, since I already have SD cards!
I’m gonna be sending my D50 in for repairs/replacement just before I go to Montreal for the holidays, so I will once again have to discover the joys of POS again. I roll with a Fuji F460. The lcd is so big it doesn’t even have a viewfinder. I just wish there wasn’t an immense shutter lag with it, and that it didn’t only take XD memory…
Speaking of SD, Bestbuy continually has a deal on 2x1gb PNY sd cards for 40$. Normally I’d head to College Street, but that’s about as good a deal as you’ll find there too.
