I’m sure you have heard of MOO’s Flickr Mini Cards by now, but if you haven’t, where have you been hiding? Moo is a company that creates mini business cards out of your own images that you have posted on Flickr.
They recently had a promotion for the first 10,000 pro flickr users to receive a sample 10 pack of cards, which was probably really costly for the company, but I think was a truely smart move on Moo’s part. The cards are made out of this quality heavy card stock with a nice satin finish. And judging from the reaction from the flickr community and a few friends, they will probably sell many more before the year is up.
Coming from Toronto, there is a fairly active flickr community and I can already see Moo cards almost becoming like trading cards among photography circles.
I already have my own photojunkie.ca business cards, and I already have plans to get a new design made, but I know in the interm, I’m definitely gonna get myself a pack of 100 or 200 moo cards. They’ll be what the one inch button was to 2005.

Kathryn ordered the ten-pack, but I missed out on the promo. As soon as I saw hers, I ordered a 100-pack for myself.
They look fantastic! I missed the promo but I heard such great things about them and they look so good that I ordered the 100-pack and got the free shipping. I doubt they’ll arrive in time for the next flickr meetup, but that’s exactly what they’d be great for.
The only draw back I could see with Moo cards is that once everyone have a set of their own, they won’t be all the original aside from the images that are on the cards.
