Dinner for me

My friend Kari like many people has a recent complaint about cooking, specifically cooking solo. I started cooking a year ago and think I am semi decent at it, but I quickly realized that cooking for one is not as easy of a task as cooking for two or more.

So I decided to compile a list of quick links that i found that may be useful to Kari and my other single friends. (PS she’s single and she cute and she into photography, what more can you ask for?)

- Cooking for One or Two – a PDF put of by the Government of Manitoba
- Cooking for One or Two – a Guide by Better Homes and Garden
- Meals for 1 or 2 – A guide by Colorado State University
- Cooking for 1 or 2 Recipes – About.com have a slew of recipes to get you started.
-
Cooking Solo – A cool guide to get you started by North Dokota State University
- Thrifty Meals For Two: Making Food Dollars Count – More great tips and recipes
- Thai for Two – Can we all say YUM.

From a quick glance, cooking for one or two should be fairly easy, it just requires a bit of planning. If in doubt, cook for two and invite a friend over for dinner. Next week dinner will be on them, and that’s one less meal you will have to worry about.

Thanks to MJ for the pic.

When I moved out, just over a year ago it was questionable whether I could cook or not. Apparently I can. I’m no gourmet, but I can get by. But I seriously wanna take a class somewhere, sometime soon.
