So Saturday afternoon, we went down to show Matt the secret swing. To our disappointment, we were faced with a mesh steel solid fence. Upon further inspection through the fence it appears that the swing had been totally removed. The bar holding up the swing completely gone. It’s truly the end of a legend.
That is unbelievably sad.
We should hold a memorial.
I should have added, and make a little shrine with photos at that fence.
Actually that would be kind of cool….

I would be totally into a little shrine. I walked past yesterday since its only about 5 minutes from my office to see for myself. They did a pretty complete job of removing and sealing the alley.
I was hanging out with some friends today at school when they suggested we all go for a swing, and I had to inform them it was, in fact, gone.
The more I think about it though, the more I think it would be really neat to have a secret swing retrospective. The Toronto Photoblogging community alone has enough photos to install in a gallery, and I’m sure there’s other work out there I haven’t seen. I just don’t know how to get something like that off the ground.
The space has only be temporarily sealed. Soon it will be the location of a new GAP ministore.
