So the powerbook is back in my possession. Luckily I had a three year warantee on it, so the repair was covered. Basically my hard drive was in the process of dying, thus the strange noises. Fortunately, I only lost a few things, like my address book, wish is actually saved on my nano, hopefully I can download it.
Now I’m all installed, and went crazy adding on “extras” like widgets on the dashboard. So I’m actually writing this post via the WordPressDash widget.
More on the other widgets I’ve installed once I’ve gotten some sleep. Tomorrow I reinstall my Adobe Suites and then I’ll be ready to post so fresh images.
What are your favourite widgets?
I am afraid to admit I don’t know what widgets are. Is it a Mac-specific thing?
Hey Maria, ya it’s a Mac thing, next time you are over, I’ll should you how they work.
You can copy your addresses off the Nano and back on to your computer. (Switch to hard-drive mode in iTunes before pluging the Nano into your computer. You’ll see the Nano on your computer, and there is a folder which has all your address information. You can drag and drop them into the address book and all should be well. I think at least.)
Ya I figured it would probably work like that. Now I just need to actually do it.
