Rest in Peace

My thoughts go out to Joey and his family. Joey’s father passed away yesterday at St Joseph’s. He was a wonderful man and will be missed by many.

In September, I attended Joey and Wendy’s wedding in Boston. It was such a joyous occasion and it was also the first time I met Joey’s parents. We started off the wedding weekend with a little coffee and dessert party on the Friday evening. I still remember at the end of the night when Joey’s Dad pulled me aside and called me Mr. Turingan. He asked if I could swing by a bit early before the wedding to take some family shots. The shot shown here is one that I snapped of Joey’s father. He was a distingished man, friendly and very open. I didn’t know him long, but he and his family have always been very welcoming.

Buried Bike

Buried Bike : Nice find. I really like how the bike’s tire just blends into the snow.

tire

Tire : The tire works nicely into the picture, I also like the long shadows in the background.

Old and New

Old and New : Before I had a chance to notice the title of this image, I was going to comment on how well you captured the old and the new buildings together. Wonderful colour in the sky as well.

Parliament Hill

Parliament Hill : I really like the perspective used on this shot. Also there are a lot of great things happening with the light from the various arches and windows.

Benches in Snow

Benches in Snow : We have a little bit of snow in Toronto, but generally it’s been a snowless winter. It makes me really appreciate your snow covered benches.

ica

Ica has such a intriguing smile. Dare I say, a Mona Lisa smile?
