Did you get a new digital camera over the holidays? My father got himself a Canon 20D and Jay got himself a Nikon point and shoot yesterday with a gift cert he received for the holidays.
Now the question of where and what you can and can’t shoot has always been a hot topic especially in this booming digital photography world. Last week USA today published an interesting article, “New digital camera? Know how, where you can use it” which helps outline your rights as a photographer. It’s a good read and have some useful links, but do take note that these mainly apply to photography in America.

I’m interested to know how it applies in Canada. After being told to stop photographing the Exchange Tower (the smaller building next to First Canadian Place) it’s definitely something I’d like to know about… at least once I get back to Canada, that is
I’m looking at getting a new P&S too, which one did Jay get?
Jay got himself the Nikon 7600.
I read the article. What do you think of the pictures I’ve taken of Fatman? (for which by the way, I’ve broken the link on all the posts on my blog, though they may still be somewhere in the blogosphere even if not accessible through my blog). So what do you think?
Maria, In the case of Fatman, it would seem that you are invading Fatman’s privacy. I know it seems odd, since Fatman would appear on his balcony where anyone one could see him.
But the lines are very blurred here.
Yeah, it’s confusing. So that’s one of the reasons why I broke the links. But with Google’s cache, you can never be sure. Oh well, what’s done is done.
